This MINI's Name: Monte Carlo

This MINI featured the W11 Supercharged S engine, paired with the Getrag six-speed manual transmission. The exterior was finished in Chili Red (851) over the MC40 interior (S4PN with Panther Black).

Why we had to have this MINI:

We had to have this MINI because it was one of 1000 produced for the 2004 model year. MINI built these R53s to celebrate 40 years of the original 1964 Monte Carlo MINI. They were only offered in Chili Red and came with commemorative plaques denoting their number in the build run of 1000, as well as graphics that pay homage to the original Monte Carlo MINI. The MC40 package included xenon headlamps, an onboard computer, front and rear fog lights, the Chrome Line exterior package, auxiliary gauges, and MC40-specific interior bits, such as commemorative floor mats, shifter, and a carbon fiber dash with an integrated John Cooper Works emblem.
